We are writing to you as a space enthusiast, scientist, and also likely a member of one or more of the 14 sponsoring organizations of the Living-in-Space Initiative. (See: https://living-in-space.org ). We have presented two Zoom webinars on this subject in both January and
February 2025. YouTube video coverage of these events is available on these links:
Jan 9th, 2025 event: https://www.youtube.com/live/NEozO4nfdxs
Feb 13th, 2025 event: https://www.youtube.com/live/hMTBepQ4Jls
There are now 14 space-related organizations who are sponsors of the Workshop on Living-
in-Space Nov 13-15, 2025. We invite you to attend and if you are willing to submit a 300-word
abstract of a paper to be presented at this hybrid event. Those willing to attend will be given
first preference to present but remote presentations on Zoom will be possible. This workshop
offers the chance to present more in-depth papers on this subject where these papers can be heard, critiqued, and reacted to in a group of peers. We have a pending indication that some of these papers might be also considered for a special issue of the Journal “Frontiers in Space Technology” on this topic as well as selected papers might constitute chapters of a book entitled: New Frontiers in Living-in-Space. We would also like to explore the production
of a video that might reach a larger audience on YouTube or be shown in other forums.
If you are willing to present send us the title of your paper, a 300-word abstract, name and e-
mail, country, and a short bio or C.V. On-site papers will be given preference. If you wish only
to attend please enter “no paper presentation” on the form. For the workshop, we will need:
an abstract, photo, paper of at least 12 pages and 8000 words, PowerPoint presentation of
highlights, and a statement that this is an original and new paper that is not previously
published and was not composed by an AI Chat system. Such AI technology can be used for
editorial review and spell check but not composition. Please indicate which topic or topics
from the list below will be addressed. Deadline for response is March 21st. Costs for attending the workshop in Hawaii will be forthcoming in future days. Any charges will be held to a minimum to cover costs. Details to follow. Topics that would be of interest include:
1) Innovative, Reusable, & Advanced Concepts in Space Craft or Launch System
Optimized for Deep Space
2) Agricultural Production in Space (including hydroponics and aeroponics)
3) Creation of Self-Sufficient Capabilities in Space Related To:
