One of the most urgent areas for global collaboration that ACES Worldwide seeks to coordinate is orbital space debris and active space debris removal.

ACES Worldwide will explore how international collaboration could potentially address this growing problem. Currently, there is no consensus on who should manage such efforts, nor on related issues of liability and the potential financing of these endeavors.

Several national agencies and private entities have abilities to perform orbital servicing, assembly and manufacturing, as well as active debris removal. Technical competence in these areas has advanced, but without regulatory agreements on how such activities might best be conducted, or international consensus on appropriate processes or regulatory oversights for implementation. ACES Worldwide will research potential solutions to generate practical proposals to address such challenges.
